DIY Christmas Wreath

Good evening everyone.
First of all wish you all a very Happy New Year!

So how is it going? Hope you all keeping well. Well today I have one beautiful DIY for you , which for sure you gonna love and try it once. Yeah, today I have come up with a DIY Christmas wreath. Yes I know, it's too early for the Christmas! I made it for my home this Christmas and thought of sharing it here. You never know who would be searching for something like this.. So to your wonders its perfectly handmade and that too you would just need the old newspapers that is available with you all at your home. So why not turning your waste into something meaningful and beautiful project.

So are you ready to have glimpse of it?

Here you go....

Bring in some old newspaper to your workspace. Take single sheet at a time and fold it along the length such that after folding you are left with 4-6 inches of folded sheet. Fringe them with atleast half-an inch in width and 4-5 inches in length(if it's 6 inch fold). Keep these fringed sheets aside. For the base of the wreath, take few full newspapers(with all its pages inside) and start twisting it from both the ends(length-wise). In my case I made 4 such twisted rolls. You may be required more or less depending on your size of wreath. My wreath turned to be around 18" along the diameter after completion. Once your twisted rolls are ready join their ends to one another using sellotapes and form a circle like shape.

Now take your fringed sheets and start adhering it(rotating it inside-out of the circle) on the circle(base) so formed. Repeat untill you reach back to your origin point. Unfurl all the fringes to give it more of puffy look. Now using spray bottles colour your wreaath. Do it in two coats to get better results. Let it dry for a day or so. Once it's dry completely adhere the glitter thermocol balls and other ornaments. Now choose any one point(preferably the origin point where you started adding fringes) cover it with thick ribbon and tie bells to it and tie bow too with the same ribbon. Tada you are done. Your own hadmade Christmas wreath is ready.

Materials Required

Some old newspaper(actually you would need lots depending on the size of your wreath).
Some spray paint bottle,(In my case I used 2 bottles of olive green shade ).
Adhesives(wet) and some sellotapes.
Ribbons
Glitter thermocol balls(small)
Christmas bells

Hope you like it! Do share your creations here if you try it. See you soon. Till then stay safe!

Filigree card using Reflective Moment

Hello my dear crafty folks.

Hope you all are keeping well.
It's almost winter here in India. How about your place? Let me know in the comment below. Would love to hear from you.
So as winter is starting, I am so excited about Christmas. I just love everything about Christmas-Christmas tree, Carols, Santa's, gifts, cakes(yummy), church, decorations, lights and what not! How about you ? What do you do on Christmas ? Have you started your preparations yet ? If not you can join in me today to prepare handmade cards for your family members, relatives, friends.

From this post onwards I am going to share some of the festive cards (for me it will be based on Christmas theme). You can alter it as per your requirement. So today I am going to share my first ever filigree card using Spellbinders reflective moment die set. I just love this one. It's so so beautiful. I have used this die set for the base of my card. You can click here to learn how to make a filigree card(Hinged card). So here's the sneak peek of the card.

For this card I have used Papericious "let's celebrate" patterned papers. Those who are new-Papericious is an Indian brand that manufactures gorgeous patterned papers. Now they have gone beyond that- like now they have beautiful laces, sequins, scrapbook kit etc. This collection is my first one. And I am so happy that it perfectly matched up my requirement. As I was into making Christmas themed card, lucky me, I found out it in this paper pack.

As Christmas has all that glittering things around, So I chose to use gold mirror card stock of which I am so fascinated now. I just love the effect it gives to the card. I have cut few gold panels from Spellbinders  lacey ovals(largest die) and Petite labels one (smallest die).

For the sentiment I have die cut a tag from Spellbinders fancy tags two and stamped "season's tweetings" from lawn fawn winter sparrows stamp set. Aren't they cute! I have stamped it using Studio G's Christmas green pigment ink.

Finally, I have adhered all the layers of my card one over the other using the double sided foam adhesive to give extra dimension to my card. I forgot to mention above, I have also used red satin ribbon. I have arranged it around the loops/lace of the largest oval panel that I had die cut using the gold mirror card stock. At last I have added some green coloured flat pearls on the swirls of the filigree pattern. I have also tied a double bow using purple satin ribbon. I have used Prima dotted flowers which I had won in a contest by Lulupu. I have inserted few pollens at the centre of the flower. I took three flowers and clustered them together and adhered them near the sentiment along with the bow that I had created earlier. My sentiment tag looked quite simple so I added few extras of the gold lacey panel and some off white flat pearls to give that extra weight.

Tadaa...the card is done now.

And that's the final card along with the close-ups.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. So what are you waiting for? Start creating one and share it here. Would love to see your creations. Will be back soon with another inspiration. Till then stay safe. Be blessed.

Hello my dear crafty friends.

How are you all doing?
Hoping everything is pretty well with you. It's been almost a month since my last month. As I told in my previous post that I would be busy with my studies so there won't be frequent posts. But finally today took time write this post.

So without talking much let me share another card done by me. It's my first try for this variety. It's a gate fold card. I did it for birthday of a friend of mine. It's pretty simple. You too can try hands on it if you are a newbie. If you would need measurements, just drop a comment below.

So now talking about card, as I told it's pretty simple. All you need is just few die cuts, punched design and few embellishments. And voila! you are done with your card in an hour or two depending on your speed. So lets not waste time and let me show the card.

So here is the front view of the card.

This is the front view with the doors slightly opened.

Royal Peacock Card

Hello everyone..
A very warm greeting.
Hope you all are keeping well.
Ah.! it's been so long since my last post. I was bit busy with my studies, and still I am :( . But no worries will keep posting here, but not quite often due to exams. Anyways today I couldnot resist my temptation and finaly I am here with my new post.
Yes it's another card. Today I have used my new set of dies and stamps that I purchased recently. Hope you like my card.
So here's the sneak peak of it.

For making this card I took an white iris sheet of 270gsm measuring 12" x 6". Scored it at centre(along the longer side). and folded it for my card base. Next I cut out a 6"x 6" patterned paper from Eno greeting's paper collection(PS: sorry there is no name /title for it b ut if want to have a look of it comment down, will share the picture). Adhered it to the base of my card. Then I stamped feathery peacock from Heartfelt Creations, coloured it using my ink pads and sakura medium brush pen. Next I die cut it using the peacock paisley die from same collection and along with it I die cut many leaves using classic leaf die set from Heartfelt creations and coloured them using my daubers. Shaped the leaves using the Deluxe flower shaping tool from HC.
Tadaaa..we are almost done.! Found the centre of the card and adhered the leaves and the peacock. yipee..it's done now.
Hope you enjoyed it as mush as I did. So here is the full card from various angles(lol..I am not that good in photography :D).

So here's the front view of the card.
